When you become a member of Bailgate WI you become a member of a community.
Meetings
Our meetings take place on the third Thursday of each month, and topics can be diverse and varied.
From getting to know you activities like people bingo, to talks from local people and businesses, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Every year we also have a couple of special meetings. First is our formal annual meeting, where the new president is decided. We also have a meting about the resolution for the year, this can be a lively debate, where we get to hear everyone’s opinions on whether our WI should back the national resolution or not.
Groups
In addition to meetings, Bailgate WI members also have the option to join any of the relaxed social groups our members run.
Groups are a great way to meet members of our community with similar interests, whether that’s stitching, gardening, or enjoying a delicious meal. We already have several groups which you are welcome to join, and if there isn’t a dedicated group for your particular interest yet, we are always looking for more.

As well as meetings and groups, membership to Bailgate WI also means you can come along to our events and trips, and those of out federation too!
From carriage driving to trips to yarn festivals and even camping weekends, there are trips galore throughout the year for all interests.
